Who is Tales of a Book  Addict?!

  • Tales of a Book Addict is a place where I (Tara) can write short book reviews and keep track of my challenges and reading progress.
  • It actually began on blogspot on January 1, 2008.
  • On December 7, 2008 I decided to switch over to wordpress.

Who is Tara?? Who am I?? Okay – in a nutshell, then:

  • I’m 27
  • Originally from southern Illinois but currently calling western Kentucky home
  • Married to Nathan since May 16, 2007
  • Mother to Garrett, born May 30, 2012
  • A Southern Illinois University graduate who is obsessed with Saluki Basketball! Go DAWGS!
  • A voracious reader
  • I also love to write, watch television, cook and collect recipes,  and spend time with my husband
  • I chose to stay at my job when we moved because I love it, thus I have an hour commute each way every day.
  • I am a bookkeeper at a concrete company – after hating math with a passion in school! Numbers are STILL a foreign language to me and yet I work with them every single day and love what I do!
  • I really love to travel
  • You can also find me at my recipe blog: Tara’s Recipes
  • I can also be found at Ramblings by Tara

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog Tara! I look forward to getting to know you!

  2. This blog is brilliant. Definitely gonna keep an eye on it.

  3. Hi! My name is Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a diet/fitness app and online website. I came across your blog today and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in getting 1 for free to review when it is out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker (com) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

Just to let you know, our online website SlimKicker basically turns your diet/fitness goals into a level up game. The tracker will work with the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    - Sue
